QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Know what goes into the result.
Here is how the workbench handles your material—and where your own judgment is still essential.
What is MegaGuide?
A set of six tools for structuring your own knowledge: step-by-step guides, checklists, tutorial outlines, learning paths, how-to article briefs and editorial reviews. Results are working drafts, not researched answers.
Are the tools free and do I need to sign up?
The six tools are free to use without an account. No subscription, payment card or guide upload is needed. You can generate, print or save a result immediately in a modern browser with JavaScript enabled.
Will a tool write verified facts for me?
No. You supply the real material. Tools organize lines, allocate time or summarize your editorial checks using a published method. Review any generic prompts and complete them with accurate subject-specific content.
Does Build result publish anything?
No. It changes only the result area in your current browser tab. There is no submission or publication step, no public guide URL and no server-side guide library.
What happens to my inputs?
Tool inputs remain in the current tab’s memory and are not submitted to a server or saved in browser storage by these tools. Reset, reload or leaving clears the active worksheet. The browser, your extensions and separately configured WordPress services may have independent behavior.
Can I save a draft and come back later?
The site has no saved-draft feature. Save result creates a text copy on your device; it does not preserve a form session or provide an import workflow. Keep original notes in a place you control if you want to revise them later.
Can I print or make a PDF?
Yes. Generate a result and choose Print result. Browser printing isolates the result rather than the form and navigation. If the browser offers Save as PDF, you can use it there. Mobile print and PDF options depend on your device.
What does Save result contain?
A UTF-8 plain-text file containing the tool name, your generated structure, method details and any nonblank optional notes included in that result. It does not contain an executable program, and no external file is fetched.
How do I enter multiple steps or topics?
Put one item on each line. Empty lines and surrounding whitespace are removed. Other text is kept literally. Avoid typing your own numbering when the tool already adds a sequence. Each tool explains its line limit and any duplicate handling.
Why are optional headings missing?
Blank optional fields are omitted instead of producing empty sections or invented content. If you need a section, enter a nonblank value and build the result again. Required fields and valid numeric ranges must be completed first.
Can text in a field become HTML?
No. User text in results is assigned as literal text, not inserted as HTML. Angle brackets and code-like fragments are displayed as characters. Still avoid secrets, because your saved or printed copy will contain what you entered.
How does the review percentage work?
The met percentage uses only assessed criteria: met divided by met plus needs work. Progress separately counts assessed criteria against all applicable criteria. Unreviewed items make the review provisional; not-applicable items are excluded. A high score is not independent certification.
How are planning minutes calculated?
Tutorial timing reserves rounded 10% shares for opening and closing and divides the remainder between topics. Learning paths reserve a rounded 30% of each week for review and practice. These allocations are planning choices, not claims about learning speed.
Are facts, sources or links checked?
No. The tools do not open links, fetch live information or check current regulations, instructions or source permissions. Source notes remain plain text. You must verify accuracy, rights and suitability before using or publishing the result.
Will the tools work without JavaScript?
The written methods, policy pages and FAQs remain readable, but the forms and calculations require JavaScript. No account or browser storage is needed for the interactive features. Check the Accessibility page for keyboard and reporting guidance.
